My husband works out of the corner of our living room and we would like a more customized set-up and look than his current Pottery Barn desk. I'm picturing built-in bookshelves and lots of cupboard storage space.  This isn't a full-scale renovation so we're not sure where to go to get this done.  Do we need a designer and a carpenter? Or is there a place that specializes in this like California Closets does custom closets. 

Any info on pricing would be helpful too.
