Just want to recommend that staging your apartment before sale is worth the investment. We used Sid Pinkerton -- his company is called From Drab to Fab. They told us what to get rid of, rearranged our furniture and art, put on new bedding, and bought a few new accessories. It cost about $3,000 in time and some furnishings, but we had multiple bids after our first open house and sold for above asking. This was last year, so the market was better than now, but it was certainly not a seller's market and we sold faster than a few of our friends who did not have staging.
