Building Message Boards: Good or Bad for Neighbor Relations?
Electronic message boards and affinity group boards for one's apartment building or co-op seem like a good way to communicate efficiently with neighbors. But some people complain that the ability to send out a message instantly is hurting neighbor relations. Snail mail forces the reader to take some time to reflect before sending off a message, e-mails often seem to be sent directly from the ID.
The House and Home section of The New York Times is doing a story on message boards and neighbor relations.
If you have a story about the boards helping or hurting relations, we'd love to hear it.
