A Message From BrickUnderground's Moderators
To all newcomers, welcome. To return guests, welcome back. We would like to introduce ourselves, the BrickUnderground moderators, TwoCenturyNative and aboutready (who also posts as CompsQueen and A. Ready on this site).
We would greatly appreciate receiving your comments, tips, questions and ideas. Occasionally we will post requests for input on specific topics. We also welcome your thoughts regarding the site itself. Please let us know if you are experiencing any difficulties. It's easy to contact us! Just click on our user profiles (TwoCenturyNative and aboutready), where you will find our e-mail addresses.
Have a question but don't feel like posting, even anonymously? Perhaps you are one of our shy friends? Email us your question (see above), and we'll post it for you or direct you to a thread where your question has already been answered.
Please do your best to stay on topic. If you are struck by the urge to comment on the presence of our troops in Iraq, get thee to a more appropriate forum immediately. As a general rule, if it doesn't fit in any category other than anything, it may not belong here. Also, since BrickUnderground reflects life in New York and the Vertical Village we don't expect it to always be a tea party. Disagreement is an essential element of our city and any dynamic forum. We encourage it and hope it will foster passionate, insightful dialog, providing our readers with the information to make their own choices and decisions. We do, however, ask you to refrain from attacks that are particularly virulent or personal. After all this is the Vertical Village in New York 2010 not 1978.
So welcome. Sit down or read on the go like a New Yorker often must, grab your choice of beverage if you can and enjoy BrickUnderground. Think of us your virtual stoop where you can hang out, find out, shout out and hopefully laugh out loud.
Yours in Neighborliness,
aboutready
