Small Wonder

Besides being modern, airy and having a terrace, this East Williamsburg studio also boasts twice-montly maid service

They had us at maid service: Fresh off a 7 percent price decrease, this $2,500 East Williamsburg studio grabbed our attention not because of its large planted private terrace or high-end, modern open kitchen, though those things are appealing. It wasn't even the amenity-filled building with a roof deck, gym and yoga room. No, it was the fact that with the cost of rent comes a cleaning service every two weeks (and that it's larger than the usual studio).

The apartment's available unfurnished and partially furnished, but we're loving the plants everywhere, extending well beyond the perimeter of the apartment and onto the deck. And speaking of that deck, we get a view of it from extra-large windows; there are also Japanese maple and bamboo trees that provide shade.

More potentially good news for those afraid to rent along the L: The closest train is the G (at Broadway). And, according to StreetEasy, this seems to be just around the median rent for a studio apartment in the neighborhood—thanks to a recent $200 price decrease.
