What you’ll get across NYC for $6,000 a month

If you’re looking to rent in Manhattan on a monthly budget of $2,500, you’ll find mostly one-bedrooms and studios. Expand your search to Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx for two-bedrooms or more. Here's what we found:

UPPER EAST SIDE, MANHATTAN: A furnished one-bedroom with a dishwasher with in a pet-friendly building with laundry facilities at 428 East 77th Street (between First and York avenues). $2,500/month, includes basic cable and wifi (two-month minimum stay)

CENTRAL HARLEM, MANHATTAN: A gut-renovated, one-bedroom floor-through in a prewar classic brownstone with exposed brick, stainless steel appliances, and a deck that’s being installed off the bedroom that'll face the backyard at 31 West 128th Street (between Lenox and Fifth avenues). $2,500/month

MIDTOWN WEST, MANHATTAN: A fully furnished, renovated studio in an elevator building at 393 West 49th Street (between Eighth and Ninth avenues). $2,500/month

CARNEGIE HILL, MANHATTAN: A furnished one-bedroom with hardwood floors in a pet-friendly building that accepts guarantors and allows subletting at 1515 Lexington Avenue (between East 97th and East 98th streets). $2,500/month 

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN: A renovated three-bedroom, one-bath with an updated kitchen and bath and access to the backyard on approval (small pets allowed on a case-by-case basis) at 97 Pulaski Street (between Tompkins and Marcy). $2,500/month

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN: A renovated three-bedroom, one-bath with an in-unit washer and dryer and stainless steel appliances in a townhouse that’s a short walk to the C train at 1311 Herkimer Street (between Rockaway Avenue and Pleasant). $2,500/month

HUNTERS POINT, QUEENS: A one-bedroom with granite countertops and a private balcony in a building that’s walking distance from Gantry State Park at 10-12 47th Avenue (between Vernon and 11th). $2,500/month

ASTORIA, QUEENS: A two-bedroom, one-bath house with stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, and hardwood floors at 18-22 25th Road (between 18th and 21st). $2,500/month, heat and hot water included

THROGS NECK, BRONX: A three-bedroom, two-bath duplex townhouse built in 1960 with an eat-in kitchen, new windows, and a deck at 258 Reynolds Avenue (between Wissman and Throgs Neck Boulevard). $2,500/month, no broker’s fee, includes parking space, owner pays utilities
