A two-bedroom for less than a million that doesn't require a gut renovation is increasingly becoming a rare sighting in inventory-starved Manhattan, especially in prime areas. And ones asking $750,000 or less? Even more challenging. But this weekend, buyers have options to check out:

537 West 133rd Street, Apartment 34A. Yes, the price is correct. And yes, it's an HDFC (income restricted) building. But if you qualify for this two-bedroom, one-bathroom, you'd be paying a lot less in mortgage than quite possibly in rent. Asking price: $199,000. Open house: Saturday, December 5, 12 noon to 2 pm.

301 East 63rd Street, Apartment 9J. Nearly 1,000 square feet of living space gives this two-bedroom, one-bathroom ample room. Once a land lease, the building is no longer, per the listing writeup. Asking price: $535,000. Open house: Sunday, December 6, 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.

455 West 43rd Street, Apartment 2C. This 800-square-foot apartment—a for-sale-by-owner—has a different configuration from what's usually listed as a two-bedroom. It has one typical bedroom and a separate loft that can be used as either a sleeping area or an office. Asking price: $715,000. Open house: Sunday, December 6, 1 pm to 4 pm.

170 Claremont Avenue, Apartment 6. This apartment in Morningside Heights not only has two bedrooms but also a dining room. Additionally, it has a washer and dryer, and the building's pet-friendly and allows for sublets. Asking price: $749,000. Open house: Sunday, December 6, 1 pm to 2 pm.
