LandlordsNY, the insider's network of New York State landlords and property managers, is setting up shop on Tuesday, December 9 for its biannual symposium, "LandlordsNY LIVE," the only event created solely for landlords and property managers. Some 300 members will gather at New World Stages in Midtown at 9 a.m.

If you're a New York property manager or landlord, here are four reasons you need to join LandlordsNY (membership is free) and reserve your seat at the symposium.

1. Get away from your desk

The LandlordsNY online forum is an essential resource for news, advice, and opportunities from fellow landlords and property managers. But there's nothing quite like meeting someone face to face, and the upcoming symposium provides a chance to do just that--to network, educate and learn from new and seasoned landlords alike about the best ways to run a more successful business. Plus, you can't take advantage of a strictly kosher, five-star breakfast through your computer screen.

2. Connect with experts

Members of LandlordsNY can always consult the group's roster of experts online with anything from legal issues to loans, energy usage and building violations. The symposium gives you an opportunity to pose your questions--confidentially and free of charge--in person to experts from Itkowitz PLLC, ConEd Solutions, Meridian Capital Group, Empower NY and CoreLogic. Plus, members get 20 percent off all of CoreLogic's services, which include SafeRent, the country's single largest aggregator of tenant screening data.

3. Gain practical tips from the pros

What does the current political climate mean for you? Joseph Strasburg, president of the Rent Stabilization Association, a trade group for property owners and managers, will speak about political changes and how they'll affect rental properties and your business. Plus, noted real estate lawyer and LandlordsNY legal expert Michelle Maratto Itkowitz will review some of the thorniest legal queries she's fielded over the last year, and take your questions. You'll also get wise on how to avoid violation headaches with advice from Empower NY;  learn about the latest city programs offering money-saving energy solutions via ConEd Solutions; and how to get the best financing rates from Meridian Capital Group.

4. Win stuff

LandlordsNY will be raffling off two Amazon gift cards worth $1,000 each—and we know anyone can put one of those to good use.

Sound good? Sign up now and clear your calendar on December 9.  Tickets are $99. Can't make it this time? Join the inner circle of  LandlordsNY (membership is free) to take advantage of information, services, and expert advice available online 24/7.

LandlordsNY is the first social network exclusively for landlords and property managers. New York landlords and managers enjoy a variety of free tools, resources, and services including the ability to ask questions to top industry experts, search for and obtain inquiries from qualified vendors, and most importantly, learn from each other.  LandlordsNY is completely FREE to anyone who owns or manages property as a business in New York.
