Real Estate Want: A bedroom that feels like an island bungalow

This furnished $4,300 one-bedroom in a Greenwich Village brownstone has high ceilings, hardwood floors and is located on a tree-lined street close to Washington Square Park.

High ceilings and lots of light are not the only stand-outs in this lovely East 9th Street rental. We were charmed by one of the most inviting rooms in the space: the bedroom.

This casually elegant bedroom feels like a combination of summer dream home on the Mediterranean and an enchanting island bungalow…maybe you could rig an outdoor speaker to play soothing sounds of the ocean.

When the weather warms up you can swing open the French doors, which lead to your private deck, and sun yourself on a chaise lounge. (Hey, a girl can at least dream of the beach while she’s sleeping with two down comforters and a space heater.)
