The StreetEasy Hot Dozen: 12 rentals that may or may not be available by the time you read this

Dieters take note. This week's Hot Dozen -- the 12 rental apartments Streeteasy.com visitors clicked on most often over the past seven days -- features a couple of apartments with mini-fridges, which should help you lose some of the "Sandy 15" you're likely to have packed on the past couple of days.

It's all about the location at this $1,699 one-bedroom at 34 Watt St., near Sixth Avenue in SoHo. Described as "charming" (read: SMALL), the apartment has exposed brick and a renovated bathroom and kitchen (with a cute and tiny refrigerator). But it's unlikely you'd spend much time eating/hanging out inside, given all the awesome restaurants in the neighborhood.

There's an under-the-counter half-fridge perfect for calorie counters at a $1,895 one-bedroom at 221 West 28th Street, between Seventh and Eighth Avenues. It's a second floor junior one with a large sleeping area that can fit both living room and bedroom furniture, and a separate room with three closets and storage space.

If you're actually planning on cooking (or just storing some food in your apartment), you may want to consider this $8,865 three-bedroom at River Terrace between Murray and Warren. The corner unit in the snazzy Solaire building has river and park views (er, maybe just river at the moment) and is available for lease reassignment. The rent -- which is $750 less than the new lease rate for the same line -- is valid just until July 2013. The upside: There's no broker fee. However, the Zone A location may be a deterrent for some.

If the apartment you like requires a guarantor that you don't have, see if the landlord accepts Insurent, a great solution from one of BrickUnderground's sponsors.
