Pros: The apartment is fully furnished, which will save you the cost and hassle of buying and/or moving your own furniture. The chef’s kitchen has stainless steel appliances and all the modern conveniences (microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer and the almighty central air). High ceilings and common roof access top off the perks.

Cons: Not everyone will be thrilled with the prospect of a two-to-three month short-term rental. And if you’re planning to work in Manhattan, your commute will be a little longer -- the F train’ll get you to York Street, which is one stop from Manhattan. You may not be thrilled with the virtual doorman, either.
