This no-fee $3,500 one-bedroom Upper West Side apartment is being rented by the owner, and features a dining alcove. It’s 850 square feet, and, according to the listing, is located on 86th Street near Columbus Avenue.

The apartment’s in a pre-war elevator building, with a marble lobby, laundry in the building and a live-in super.

The lease is available for one or more years.

Pros: Each room has generous proportions (by Manhattan standards): the large living room measures 13x21 and the bedroom is 11x17. Plus, the apartment has 11-foot ceilings, hardwood floors and crown moldings. It's also in a prime location on the Upper West Side

Cons: Even with no broker fee, the rent is on the high side for a one-bedroom in a non-doorman building.

No Fee Apartment of the Week showcases an apartment that’s currently on the market and is being offered with no broker fee (otherwise known as the holy grail of New York City rentals). For tips on how to find more no-fee apartments, check out our Guerrilla Guide series.
